The Secret War Against Apartheid - Marxism 2012

Lively discussion with a large audience at the Marxism 2012 Festival, organised by the Socialist Workers' Party, London, 5 July 2012. Speakers: Ronnie Kasrils, John Rose, Bob Newland, George Paizis, Joy Leman (a Recruit only discovered after the book was published), Graeme Whyte, Bob Allen and numerous members of the audience. Ken Keable writes,"I was prevented from attending this terrific event by serious flooding in Somerset, where I live. It is a pity, in my opinion, that no-one challenged the  use of the word "Stalinist" at this meeting, when I am confident that none of the speakers would describe themselves with that term."

Ken Keable announces publication

Graeme Whyte

This is the story of the foreign recruits and their activities in South Africa, how they acted in defiance of the Apartheid government and its police on the instructions of the African National Congress. Graeme Whyte talks about his role in smuggling thousands of leaflets and explosives into South Africa to make propaganda leaflet bombs.

All royalties from this book will go to the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.

Graeme Whyte Suitcase

Here is the second video made by Graeme Whyte, in which he bids goodbye to the false-bottomed suitcase that he used in 1971. Denis Walshe is taking it to the Rivonia Museum in South Africa, where it will be an exhibit.
