Frances O’Grady sent this review out to union reps on 9-10 Feb 2015 after she was presented with a copy of the book by editor Ken Keable, accompanied by Alex Moumbaris and Sean Hosey.
Here is a nice report of the launch at the Book Lounge (bookshop) in Cape Town in June 2012. There were some interesting people there, including Tim Jenkin, Klaas de Jong, Howard Smith and David Hemson. (These last two were active in the Anti-Apartheid Movement in Britain).
Left to right, Bob Newland, Ken Keable, Bob Allen, Bill McCaig and Roger O’Hara.
This review by Alex Duval Smith appeared in The Observer (effectively the Sunday edition of the Guardian) on 1 July 2012. Ms Smith had interviewed Ken Keable and Denis Walshe in Cape Town a few days earlier. (She kindly corrected some minor errors – though still not all of them - after the article was printed and this version is the corrected one). This article did a lot to publicise the book.
